UNIVERSITY COUNCIL.
CANDIDATES NOMINATED Two nominations for the election of one member to tho Auckland University College Council by members ot the General Assembly resident in the pro- " vineial district of Auckland were, received yesterday. They are Messrs. F. W. Schramm, M.P., and Mr. S. Leathern (sitting member). For the election of two members to the College Council by the District Court of Convocation of the Auckland University * district four nominations were received. They are:—Messrs. W. H. Cocker and G. D. Ilobh (sitting mernbersV. Dr. T. W. J. .Johnson and Mr. D. H. Steeu. ISFr. Cocker is president of the university. 'I'll" elections will bo held 012 June 9 and 21 respectively.
