Y.M.C.A. HUT OPENED (New Zealand Official Xews Service) CAIRO, April 2 Providing a distinct improvement oil the facilities available when the camp was first occupied, the remodelled premises of the Y.M.C.A. wore officially opened to-night. The hut was opened by Brigadier X. S. Falla, C.M.G., D.5.0., Y.D., commandant of the base. The guests included Brigadier Foster, assistant-adjutant-general of the British Forces in Egypt, Brigadier L. M. Inglis, Mr. H. W. Shove, Y.M.C.A. Overseas Commissioner. Miss E. M. Xutsev, Matron-in-Chiet of the Xew Zealand Army Nursing Service, and Mrs. A. P. F. Chapman, of the Xew Zealand Y.M.C.A., who is to be in charge of the Lowry Hut to be erected shortly in the camp._ Lieutenant-Colonel F. Waite, outlining the functions of the Patriotic Fund, said it was his duty to see that the men obtained reasonable comforts, and also to see that enough was kept to provide for rehabilitation. The Y.M.C.A. was the principal expending agency for the fund.
