PLAY IN THE COUNTRY Whangarel A Whangarci Club's pair, H Bechre and Brewis, won the ixurs tourney plaved on the Whangarei Bowling Clubs greens on Saturday. The runncrs-up were also a Whangarci pair, Lamb and Orr. J.he proceeds of the tourney, amounting to £l9 4s, were handed by the club to the patriotic funds. Both, the winners and the runnersmi contributed the trophy money to this fund.
