ALTERATION IN LEAD DEFEAT OF GREEN LANE SURPRISE BY DILWORTH TEAM Till- lend in the senior grade championship of the Auckland .City and Suburban Cricket Association underwent a change as the result of the defeat on Saturday of Green Lane by Dihvorth Old Boys. («reen Lane has j led throughout with Brixton, and its detent came as a surprise, although its position was difficult after a poor start ou a wet. wicket the previous Saturday, Green Lane was dismissed lor 12 runs in its first innings, and carried on from five for .'sl to reach only 8.3. In its second innings tho Dilworth team (rained the necessary runs for tho loss of only two wickets and thus secured an outright win. Good bowling by D. Hetherington greatly assisted Dihvorth Old Boys to obtain a popular victory. Manukau proved too strong for R.V., which collapsed in its second innings. Manukau made 77 and "J 14 respectively and B.V. scored 57 and 89. A fine second innings by the Royal Air Force prevented Bmton from gaining a six-point win. Air Force scored -IS in its first innings and '.208 in its second innings. Brixton made 145 and 48 for four wickets. Tui, which compiled )>4 in its first innings, gained a fourpoint- win from Hoskill. The outfield at tho Domain was very dead and runs were difficult to cel. , , , . r The highest individual score was that of J. Wilson (Koskill), with 09 Others to bat well were:—B.
