AGRICULTURE ESSAYS
[from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday Following are the results of the essay competition held among the bovs who attended the week's course in agriculture in connection with the Waiknto Winter Show: —Peter B. Hutchinson (Auckland Grammar School), 70 points, 1; C. Langlands (Matamata District High School), 65, 2; D. A. McPhail (Matamata District High School) and A. Surgenor (Huntly District High School), 62, 3. About 50 boys were drawn from the secondary schools in tho Auckland Province and given a comprehensive course of instruction and demonstration. The chief judge, Mr. Connell, said he was well pleased with the quality of the essays, which represented a gratifying improvement over those of last year.
