HEALTH RESTORED
LIFE IN NEW ZEALAND RESIDENT'S 90TH BIRTHDAY A resident of Auckland for 47 years, Mr. J. T. Reid, of 41 Esplanade Road, Mount Eden, will celebrate his 90th birthday to-day. He was born in Wick, Caithness, Scotland, and was for some years proprietor of the newspaper John O'Groat Journal, which was founded by his father in 1836. After engaging in the paper and printing trades, Mr. Reid retired at the age of 75. .At the age of 90 years he is still enjoying remarkably good health, and says he owes much to the beneficient climate of Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Reid celebrated their golden wedding five years ago. Mrs. Reid died last year at the age of 86. There are 10 children, 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
