MORRINSVILLE NEWS
The sum of £75 was realised at a sale of produce held in the Strand Theatre in aid of patriotic funds. Community singing was led by Mrs. Barrington Snow and Mr. Vernon Drew, of Auckland. Items were given by Mrs. J. J. Scales, Mr. Eclilin and the Morrinsville Pipe Band and the Municipal Band. The Mayor, Mr. Hetherington, who is also chairman of the patriotic committee, presided. A social in honour of several men from Morrinsville who will enter camp to join the railway operating companies was given by members of the Anglican Doling People's Club in the Town Hall. The presentation of a leather hold-all was made to each guest by the Mayor. Mr. W. Hetherington. on behalf of the Morrinsville Patriotic Committee
