WORK AT HAMILTON [KItOM OUR OWN COKRKSPONDKNT] HAMILTON, Thursday A report that 14 packing cases of clothing for refugees had been collected, repaired, sorted and sent to Wellington for despatch overseas, was received at a meeting of the Hamilton subcentre of the Red Cross Society last night. It was also stated that 24 cases of clothing for refugees had been sent away last month. It was decided to co-operate with the Lady Galway Guild in its proposed clothes drive and to include a large supply on hand in the guild's collection. A request was received from the " ai " kato Hospital for blood donors and members are being asked to volunteer for this service.
OTO ROH ANG A -SU B*CENTIIE The Otorohanga branch of the Red Cross Society has just despatched to headquarters another large case of hospital equipment and comforts for the wounded. The splendid effort made by the local joint committee of the Order of St. John and the Red Cross for the Sick, Wounded and Distress Fund has been the subject of congratulation from the Waikato and other centres. Eight women recently passed their home nursing examinations.
