RETIREMENT OF ORGANIST APPRECIATION OF SERVICES Parishioners of St. Peter's, Onehunga, met on Wednesday evening to mark their appreciation of the services rendered "by Mrs. A. H. Pilcher. who recently resigned her position as organist after 22 years of continuous service. In presenting Mrs. Pilcher with a cheque, the vicar, the Rev. T. H. C. Partridge, expressed the sincere gratitude of the parishioners for her faithful service to the church, while the people's warden, Mr. L. Brav. handed Mrs. Pilcher a letter of appreciation, accompanied by a floral tributo presented by Miss Bray. Mrs. Pilcher responded. During the evening songs were contributed bv Mr. E. Baker and Master Derek Steward, and violin solos by Mr. •T Gillman, to accompaniments played bv Mrs. Partridge, Miss J. Duthie and Mr M. Hewlett. Orchestral selections by Mrs. F. P. Vallely, Mrs. A. Armor and Mr. Allen provided dance music, Messrs. 11. Binmore and P. Tregigda acting as masters of ceremony. The supper were under the supervision of Mrs. E. Baker.
