ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

COMPETITION FOR TROPHY RECENT APPOINTMENTS The annual competition for the trophy presented to the Auckland Nursing Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade by Dr. C. H. Tewsley was keenly competed for by the members. The test consisted in bandaging and oral work in home nursing and first aid. Dr. L. G. Drury judged the oral portion and lady Corps Officer Mrs. F. Turner judged the bandaging. Tbf» successful member, was Ambulance Sister Miss Hallimore. The district officer, Mr. C. Lindesay, advises that the chief commissioner of the St. John Ambulance Brigade for the Dominion, Colonel G. Barclay, has approved of the following appointments: —Miss D. M. Piggott, to be lady divisional superintendent, Ellerslie Nursing Division; Mrs. E. R. Turner to be lady ambulance officer, and Miss P. M. Webber to be lady divisional storekeeper, both Otahuhu-Papatoetoi* Nursing Division; Miss 35. F. Sharp to be lady divisional secretary, Epsom Nursing Division. The formation of the Ellerslie Nursing Division has been approved.
