RUGBY LEAGUE
DINNER TO FOOTBALLERS RETURN FROM ENGLISH TOUR A dinner arranged by the ladies' committee of the Auckland Rugby League to welcome home the members of the side that recently toured England was held at the Station Hotel last evening. The arrangements had been made by Mrs. A. Scott, _ honorary secretary, assisted by a committee comprising Mrs. Grey Campbell, chairwoman, Mrs. I. Stonex, honorary treasurer, Mrs. Ivan Culpan, Mrs. C. Howe, Mrs. T. Chermside and Mrs. R. Doble. Following dinner an informal gathering was held in the lounge. Among the ladies present were:—Mrs. J. A. Redwood, Mrs. H. Wilson, Mrs. Y. Rose, Mrs. L. Rout. Mrs. W. P. Clarko, Mrs. J. F. Dickson, Mrs. D. Wilkie, Mrs. A. Leese, Mrs. F. Tremain, Mrs. J. Knowling, Mrs. W. Probert, Mrs. J. Watson, Mrs. A. McClymont. Mrs. T. Davis, Mrs. M. N. Kylo, Mrs. H. Shaw, Mrs. N. Carlaw. Mrs. J. Stormont, Mrs. W. Swift, Mrs. D. Solomon, Mrs. Or. Mitchell, Mrs! F. McAncny, Mrs. W. Leatherbarrow. Mrs. W. Panapa, Miss Brain, Miss E. Stormont.
