Substantial progress during tho year was reported at the fifth annual meeting of tho Waihi Surf and Life-saving Club. Mr. F. Raddings presided. The report showed that extensivo improvements had been made to the clubhouse end .-ulditions made to equipment and that, in spito of the heavy expenditure incurred, there'was a credit balance of £37. Winners of awards during tho season were: Royal Life-saving Society s intermediate certificates and bronze medallions. Misses C. M. Stamp, B. I. McCullough, Messrs, D. Murdoch. I).
