APIA, June 20 The influenza epidemic is still raging at Apia, hut hopes are entertained that it' will soon have run its course. Only one fatal case has been reported, due to a relapse, hut the effects of the visitation has been disastrous as far a* business is concerned. Tn so 1110 cases whole staffs have been afflicted at one time and business had to he In all the shops only skeleton staffs are at work. At tho hospital at one time only 17 out of 54 nurses wore on duty. The medical and nursing staffs are doing great work. The Medical Department has issued immense quantities of free medicine to the natives. The churches, schools and picture theatre have been dosed until further notice.
