SOCCER GAME
SENIOR CONTESTS MATCHES THIS AFTERNOON PONSONBY AND NORTH SHORE The second series of matches under the control of the Auckland Football Association will be played to-day when tho principal attraction at Blandford Park will be the meeting of Ponsonby and North Shoro. Last week Ponsonby was defeated by Comrades and North Shore drew with Y.M.C.A., so that both teams will be eager for success to-day. The teams should be evenly matched and a close and interesting struggle is anticipated.
In its first match in the senior comoetitition tho Gray Lynn side gave a fine display, and its contest with Abels at Western Springs this afternoon should be very even. Onehanga may find Eastern Suburbs too strong in tho match at St. Heliers. but Onehunga is expected to provide sound defence. Thistle and Y.M.C.A. will meet at the Domain, while tho contest at Fowlds Park will be between Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys and Comrades.
