RICHARD CROOKS
NOTED AMERICAN TENOR Few tenors in the world to-day can compare with Richard Crooks in his singing of simple melodies, and he should again have a successful season when he makes a return visit to Auckland next Saturday. The concerts given by him on his former visit were consistently crowded as a tribute to the purity and tono of his voice, as well as to his capacity for carrying his audience with him. Although it is for his ballad singing that most people know Richard Crooks, he is equally at home in all kinds of numbers, and Handel and Brahms generally have a place in his repertoire. Owing to the shortness of his stay, concerts will be given by the visiting American singer at Auckland and Wellington only. Booking arrangements are advertised.
