SCOUT JAMBOREE
ARRANGING FOOD SUPPLY FINE SWIMMING BATH" An order for food for 5030 scouts for 15 days has been placed by the supplies committee of the staff in charge of the running of New Zealand's International Scout Jamboree. This great gathering will be camped at Heretaunga, Wellington, from December 27 to January 11, the site comprising 100 acres. The ground has been cleared of gorse and the hillside, where the campfires will be held in a natural amphitheatre, has been cleared of jicnib. Tht> heavy task of draining the land and providing water and washing and sanitary facilities is being rapidly camed out. A fine swimming bath lieirig constructed by the military authorities handy to the site is nearing completion. The ground has been mapped and laid out and final preparations made for the erection of the canvas town that will spring; up, almost overnight, next Christmas.
