ANNUAL COMPETITIONS CARNIVAL AT PIOPIO ATHLETIC AND HORSE EVENTS {by telegraph—own correspondent] TE KUITI, Wednesday There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Piopio Sports Club. Chief interest centred in the equestrian events, for which largo entries were received. The entries in the athletic events were not up to expectations, and it was announced that the club would in all probability turn from a professional to an amateur club. Results: —
