TOURNAMENT CONTINUED " HANDICAP AND JUNIOR CUP [I'RO.VI OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT! HAMILTON, Wednesday The Auckland provincial polo tournament was continued at the Claudelands Show Grounds to-day with handicap and junior cup matches. The ground was in good condition and some fine exhibitions were given. Cambridge C and Cambridge D had a close contest in the first of the handicap matches, Cambridge C winning by 18 goals to 14. Although its form greatly improved, the Cambridge A team (scratch) was defeated by Morrinsville A by 7 goals to 3. In the first of the semi-final matches for the Junior Cup, Glen Murray defeated Waimai A by 4 goals to 2. Matangi B and Wai111ai B had a close contest in the second semifinal, Waimai being successful by 0 goals to 5. A Matangi player, L. Chitty, had to change mounts after his horse was injured in a fall. The handicap matches will bo continued to-morrow. Results were:— Handicap Cup.—Cambridge C (10 goals handicap). 18, beat Cambridge D (13), 14. Morrinsville A (4), 7, beat Cambridge A (scr). 3. Junior Cup.—Semi-final: Glen Murray, 4, beat Waimai A 2; Waimai B, 6, beat Matangi B, 5.
