ANNUAL TOURNAMENT CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS RESULTS OF YESTERDAY'S PLAY Excellent weather and lawn conditions were experienced for the commencement of the Auckland Croquet Association's champion of champions and junior buttons competitions yesterday. The results were as follows: — CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS At Mount Eden.—Mrs. Jones beat Mesdames Baker and Smith, Mrs. Clarke beat Mesdames Burgess, Sessions and Chapman, Mrs. Parker-Hill beat Mrs. Sessions. Mrs. Laurie beat Miss Waldron, Mrs. Maxwell beat Miss Skeet and Mrs. Laurie, Mrs. Chapman beat Mrs. O'Halloran, Mrs. Smith beat Mrs. Sessions, Mrs. O'Halloran beat Mrs. Laurie, Mrs. Baker beat Mrs. Burgess, Mrs. Hilton beat Mrs. Parker-Hill, Miss Skeet beat Miss Waldron. JUNIOR GRADE B Buttons. —At Epsom: Mrs. Bagent beat Mrs. Graham, Mrs. Scott beat Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Bischoff beat Mrs. McPhail and won from Mrs. Bregman by default, Mrs. Knox beat Mrs. Anderson.
