INFECTIOUS DISEASES
FIGURES FOR JANUARY Forty-nine cases of infectious diseases came under the notice of the Department of Health from the central Auckland district during-the month ended January 31. Tuberculosis was the most prevalent disease, 17 cases being notified. Nine cases of septic abortion were reported, eight of erysipelas and four of scarlet fever J In the TliamesTauranga district a total of 10 cases was reported, one of these being 01 hydatids.
