STRUCK BY TRAMCAR
EVIDENCE AT INQUEST [l;y TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION j WELLINGTON, Friday A verdict of death from heart failure resulting from shock through having suffered a broken leg in a collision with a tramcar was returned at an inquest into the death of Mrs. S. E. 0. Snow, aged 75, who was knocked down by a tramcar outside the Wellington Hospital .on January 19, and died on February 13. Medical evidence was given that deceased's heart was not strong. The driver of the tramcar said that when he noticed deceased lie ning the hell and applied the emergency brake and aft,er striking deceased the tramcar pulled up in about lift. Evidence was also given that in a statement to the police after the accident deceased said she saw the tramcar coming, but thought she had plenty of time in which to cross.
