MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS

The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, accompanied by Mr, J. Wood, Engineer-in-ehief, left Auckland yesterday by car for Whangarei, where during the afternoon he inspected the Whangarei airport construction Work at Onerahi, later visiting Parua Bay and the State housing area in the town. In the evening he met several deputations on local public works matters, and attended a Labour l'artj social. He leaves this znorniug ~ ior .Russell. *1 - The Hon. W. Pfftsh, Minister of Finance, was kept fully engaged with private interviews and deputation;; at the Station Hotel yesterday and had no public engagements. He left for Wellington by the limited express last night. The Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister of Labour, received a number of deputations on labour matters yesterday. He will remain in Auckland until toward the end of next week and will be occupied in hearing further deputations and in visiting factories. The Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Industries and Commerce, 'will arrive at Auckland from Wellington on Tuesday, acompanied by Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, Mayor of and chairman of directors of the New_ Zealand Centennial Exhibition. The visitors will be entertained at luncheon the same day by the Auckland Manufacture ls Association.
