Mr. Gene Huse, a Nebraska newspaper proprietor, was a-through passenger for Melbourne by the Monterev, which arrived at Auckland yesterday from San Francisco. He was accompanied by Mrs. Huse and their daughter.

Dr. R. M. Campbell, economic adviser to the New Zealand Government in London, arrived at Auckland yesterday by the Monterey from the United States. One purpose of his visit is to attend the triennial shipping freights conference, to be held at Wellington toward the end of nest month.
