FARMERS TO CONFER MEETING AT WANGANUI Described as New Zealand's "Public Enemy No. 1," soil erosion on hill country in the Dominion was discussed yesterday by the Auckland Provincial Executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union. A decision was made to send two representatives to a special meeting to be held at Wanganui on February 21. "The question wants to be put forcibly- before the Government, more forcibly than it has been put before," said Mr. V. Simms. He added that, while on a visit recently, he was amazed &t the deterioration which had taken place in North Auckland farming country since he was a young man. Messrs. Simms and A. Briscoe-Moore were appointed delegates to the Wanganui conference.
