Friskland covered half a mile easily in 55 2-ss. Philemup was galloped on during the rupning of tho Taranaki Hack Cup on Tuesday. He is still sore and is a doubtful starter on tho first day at Stratford. Aussie Ra was allotted a working gallop over a mile, running the last seven furlongs in 1.38 2-5: He came through his New Plymouth race in good style. To Moreliu, who has suffered no harm from bis recent, efforts, wqs sent twice round at half-pace.
