OTAHUHU WORKSHOPS
HANDLING OF DISPUTE MISCONCEPTION REMOVED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday - Tho executive council of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants has issued a statement in connection with the recent dispute at the Otahuhu railway workshops. "It has been brought to our notice," says the statement, "that there is a general impression among our society's members in connection with the dispute at Otahuhu that the society placed tho matter in the hands of the New Zealand Federation of Labour. This impression is not founded on fact, as the society has not at any stage of the proceedings decided on such action. The executive is of the opinion that as a union tho society is big enough, strong enough and capable enough to handle this or any other dispute which might nriso in connection with railwaymen or their conditions."
