The field can hardly be described as of full three-year-old strength, for Shadow Son, who has won two races, and Bedrock, the winner of the Sapling Stakes, are not engaged. ; Tho field of 21 in tho Ollivier Handicap is one of the largest to accept in a 4.27 class race. As Lawn Derby immediately after this race will make his attempt on tho milo record, lie is- not likely to bo produced over two miles. Most of the Now Zealand Cup horses will again bo in action.
