EFFECT OF NEW AWARD QUESTION OF SERVICE CHARGED [from our owk PUKEKOH& Tuesday An increase of £I2OO in the board's expenditure owing to the application of the latest awari covering the hoard's employees was reported at a meeting of the Franklin Power Board. The engineer, Mr. L. G. Sharp, and the secretary, Mr. A. J. McDowall, were asked to report to the next meeting of the hoard on the question of increasing service charges to consumers. ' TAURANGA EXPERIENCE INCREASE OF £7OO A YEAR [BY TELEGRAPH—-.OWN CORRESPONDENT] TAURANGA, Tuesday Under the new award for electrical workers, which came into operation yesterday, the Tauranga Electricpower Board will be faced with an additional expenditure for wages of £340 a year, according to a report presented by the chairman, Mr. A. Smith, at the. monthly meeting of the board. Other provisions in the new award, it was stated, would bring the total increase in expenditure to approximately £7OO a year.
