GALLOPS AT ELLEBSLIE PALMINT FINISHES WELL TRILLIARCH AND MARIE'S ACRE Outstanding trials at EHerslio yesterday morning wont to tho crodit of Trilliarch, Marie's Acre and Palmint over six furlongs and of Bronze Emerald over half a mile. The No. 2 grass track provided excellent going. Eudorace (Gemincll) was given an easy half-milo in 55 3-ss, tho first furlong taking 13 2-s§. Palniint (Gilchrist) finished two lengths in front of Land Girl (Sargent) at the end of six furlongs in I.IG .'3-5, tho first three being run in 395. Palmint finished very attractively. Kilonsa (McTavish) held a slight lead over Knight of Australia (Gemniell) throughout a round run in 1.46 2-5, the last six furlongs in 1.18, and four in 525. Kilonsa did lier work comfortably over the concluding stages and is in great fettle. Bronze Emerald (Hearn) registered tho best half-mile by beating Bonnybelle in 'l9 l-ss. It was a smart effort on the part of the Bronze Eagle—Queen Emerald three-vear-old, who shows distinct promise. After beginning slowly, Kelly (Gilchrist) was not bustled to run half a, mile in 52 2-ss. He looks- improved after his race at Avondale. King Bod (Wiggins) strode over a round comfortably in 2.0 2-5. He was moving short in tho early stages, but was hitting out freely enough at the finish.'Tip Toes (Gommell) had a good deal in reserve while completing six furlongs in 1.20. She loAks in tho right order to show up in forthcoming engagements. Electric Spear Promising Avail (Kerr) and Bright Idea (Buchanan) strode over five furlongs easily in 1.11 l-ss. Glen Abb (Wiggins) was not required to do his best while running half a mile in 54 2-ss. He looks well and is more solid than formerly. Electric Spear (Fearn) traversed a round in 1.45 1-5, the last three furlongs being run in 40 l-ss. Since being asked to go over more ground Electric Spear has shaped promisingly. Mai do Mer (Cameron) and Vaalsstar (McTavish) were both going well within themselves to complete a round :'n 1.48 2-5, tho last half-mile taking 52 j-os. Armacourt (Gilchrist) came homo strongly over six furlongs in 1.22 2-5, tho last three in 40 3-ss. After running the first furlong in 13s, Hackenschniidt (Nicholson) and Norse Lady (Fearn) finished on terms to record 53s for half a mile.

Fidelis (Wiggins) and Surclla (Coon) wore going comfortably at tho conclusion of a throe-furlong sprint in 3Ss. Shy (Nicholson) and Ringshot (Cameron) finished practically together at the end of a round in 1.44 2-ss. They wero assisted by Hot Shot (Sargent) over tho last four furlongs, run in 525. Shy carried a good weight and his effort was satisfactory. Ringshot worked in his best stylo and will disappoint if ho does not race well at Paeroa. Half-mile by Ohmaha

Ohmaha (McGrath) had tho better of Knightsbridge (Messcrvy) over half a mile in 50 l-ss, tho first furlong taking 12 3-ss. Jayola (Fearn) completed the last five furlongs of six" in 1.5 1-5 and looked to be doing it well. He is in very solid order for Saturday's engage- j ment. Birthday Boy (Markwick) was under a good hold while covering five furlongs in 1.13 1-5, the last three taking 44 l-ss. He is to race at the spring meeting at Ellerslie. Lighter (Gilchrist) strode over a round in 1.47 3-5. tho last six furlongs taking 1.20 4-5. Fleetwind (Tonjss) ran tho last three of four furlongs in 37 Triliiarch (Gilchrist) just shaded Marie's Acre (Messervy), with Philcourt (Wiggins) three lengths further back, at the finish of six furlongs run in 1.16. The first threo furlongs required 36 3-ss, and it was the best of tho morning. Triliiarch _ went in improved style, while Marie's Acre was running on well. Philcourt was easing up over the last furlong. On tho tan, Sly Fox (Mc.lnally) displayed plenty of dash while covering six furlongs under restraint in 1.27 1-5. Baldric (O'Connor), School Song (Gough), lllimani (Nicholson) and 13rown Lap (Butterworth) in company jumped two pony hurdles satisfactorily. With the exception of Brown Lap, the others were then sent over four of the bigger hurdles, Baldric leading throughout and giving an impressive display.

Moneyless ran six furlongs in 1.22 1-5, Slayer and Hunting Chorus recording 1.20, the last half-mile in 555. Pink Hobo began at tho homo turn and, picking up Adina at the sevenfurlong post, - covered the distance in 1.33, the last half-mile occupying 52 2-ss. Pink Pobo finished well. Araboa and Janet Gaynor strode out together over six furlongs in 1.19 2-5. Both worked freely.

High Glee, who has come on quickly, reeled off half a mile in 50s, and then cantered a circuit. Valantua went at half paco over two rounds on tho grass. He looks well. L. M. Drummond received a bad fall when schooling a Crusader gelding, who charged into the first flight and fell, "pinning Drummond under him until he was released.
