However, tlio morning was fine. Tlio course proper, with the flags out about 20ft., was used for all fast work. Quadroon (Bowden) was giv.en a working gallop over six furlongs, run in 1.26. Corroboreo (Chaplin) galloped with Old Bill (IJowdcn) over five furlongs. They finished together in 1.7 2-5. Both sire engaged at Marton. Vaseones (Chaplin) covered two furlongs in '26s, the going being to her liking. Silver River (Dye) was not troubled in running seven in 1.40 and the Peach Brandy—Elvaette gelding covered the same distance in 1.44. The Buzzer Finishes Well The Bigot (Johnstone) and The Buzzer (a light boy), were companions over six furlongs. The Bigot soon opened up a gap on his stsiblemate, but when The Buzzer elected to gallop, ho closed on the other and finished on terms in 1.26 4-5. Both went pleasingly. Ecstatic, with a light boy, in running three furlongs, appeared to be going lazily, but she recorded 41 l-ss. Dainty Sue (Broughton) ran the last three of six furlongs in 41 .'3-ss. Cliere Amie could have improved on the time. Aoro Tj<ul (Broughton) was given an easv six furlongs. Warehi (Rae) was just in front of Porotiti (Anderson) and Skyfull (Broughton 1 ) at the end of seven furlongs in 1.138, all going well. Deflation, Classform and Tidal Gut were given barrier practice. The lastnamed went away very fast and continued for five furlongs, but ho was easing up to record 1.13 2-5, the first two taking 28 2-ss. Titter (a light boy) and High Peer (Broughton) had Sporting Gift (Kanake) as companion over half a mile. Sporting Gift dwelt at the start and the others were still in front at the finish in 55 4-ss. Cuisinier Has Easy Win Sporting Luck was of no assistance to Cuisinier, who was well clear at the end of five furlongs, the last four of which took 55 3-ss. Royal Record galloped a milo strongly. * ' Lady Ina (Johnstone) and Golden Ridge'(J. Leach) registered 1.8 for five furlongs, the first two in 28s. Entheos (Chaplin), laillight (Irillo) and Pango (McDowell) gave a good exhibition over four hurdles. Entheos was not sure about one fence; otherwise it was a faultless display of fast jumping. Pango was cased over the liist bit and the others fought out the finish. Strolling fW. E. Pine) gave a good display. Rolling Home (Pine) also jumped four hurdles well.

Ihe outside of the course proper was a trifleheavy before breakfast, but had dried considerably for work after the interval. The best wore recorded by Fiancee and Dark Eagle. Student Prince (Sexton) and liokako (Colo) finished practically together' at the close of three furlongs along the back in 41,5. Kbkako, a gelding by Hunting Song, is endowed with brilliant speed and, if I*> can run on, should develop into a good performer. He has not yet been tried beyond half ft Fiancee (Sexton) displayed her usual speed while running three furlongs in 39Js. She should he capable of- a forward showing in the maiden event on Saturday. Naughty Marietta (Sexton) completed six furlongs in 1.27, Filbert (Evan) accompanying her over _ the first three in 41 4-ss. Naughty Marietta completed her task in good style. Fricsland (Monkley) and Lickem (Cole) were on terms at the end of half a mile in 565. Friesland appeared to bo going the better at the finish and hit out very freely. He should not take long to get into racing shape. After the breakfast interval, Viracious (Sexton) strode over five furlongs in 1.12 J. Dark Eagle indicated that ho has gone on the right way by finishing a couple of lengths in front of Amoroso (Monkley) at the conclusion of half a. mile in s'> 4-ss. Although he had a good deal the better of the weights, Dark Eagle gained friends for his engagement at Marton. Ramleh (Fa Hand) registered 55 is for four furlongs without being hustled. He. should be in great order for the summer meetings. The two-year-olds Valdette (Sexton) and Race Away (Farland) sprinted two furlongs in 2715. Both are green but making progress. Race Call and Silvanns were lot - off with useful pace-work. Both have derived benefit from their outings at Foxton, especially the former, who may be more difficult to dispose of at his next appearance. Lowenberg is on the easy list for a few days oil account of a slight foot injury. It is thought that ho is suffering from a stone bruise. Silver Gift, dwncd hv Mr. H. Clelaiul, has joined Lady Kyra in E. Fryer's stable. She is a smart mare when fit. H. JSeally has added to his string the four-vhar-old Mischel, who may tako a little time to reach racing condition.
