TRAINING AT EPSOM HONOURS TO NOBLE PRINCE NOVICE'S OUTSTANDING TRIAL IMPROVEMENT IN POST HASTE BY ABAYDOS By pacing a mile and a-quarter at a 2.13 rate Noble Prince was the star performer at Epsom , yesterday, when the dirt track harrowed out dry and last. Fisher, Munga Tangi and Lucky Love, in sprinting final halves, improved on 1.7, while the 1.7 2-5 of the unnamed Jack Potts—Marama llose mare was outstanding for a novice. Kewpie's Queen and Kewpie's Triumph, 1.8, and Kewpie's Crest, 1.8 1-5, also put up line efforts. Noble Prince (J. McKendrick), after sprinting fivo furlongs, was sent a mile and a-quarter, which he covered in 2.46 1-5. Ho ran the first quarter in 34k, reaching the six furlongs in 1.38. It was a sound effort, as Noble Prince was inclined to idle in the run homo. He is not a good track horse when alone. The Jack Potts —Marama Rose mare (K. Bell) went an easy milo with Matala*(W. Gee), and then ran a milo and a-quarter in 2.57 2-5. She reached the six furlongs in 1.50 and the mile in 2.24. She ran homo the last quarter in 33 "2-ss. She has come to .hand quickly. Our Princess (AV. Willetts) stopped a milo and a-quarter. in 2.56, showing n deal of speed in the middle stage. Without being pressed, she ran the final half in 1.10 2-5. Solid Two Miles Fisher (A. Paton), Munga Tangi (L. Lavcr) and Lucky Love (W- Willetts) left as named from the two miles, but before • the half was reached in 1.17 Munga Tangi was the pacemaker. The mile showed 2.29 and the mile and a-half 3.40 2-5. Fisher was alongside the leader at the post in 4.47, with Lucky Love less than a length away. Munga Tangi was going well within himself. Fisher and Lucky Love, both unhoppled, gave fine displays and showed dash. Tommy McElwyn (A. McKenzie) led Petite Jewel (W. H. Andrews) from the two miles, hut as the mile- wis passed in 2.29 Petite Jewel took the lead. They were together at the milo and a-half in 3.40 2-5 and carne home together in 4.51. ' Petite Jewel went easilv, while Tommy McElwyn shaped well "in his first two-mile trial. Bismuth (J. E. Taylor), free-legged, worked two miles solidly, his third half in 1.12. Except for the last quarter in 38is, Bedford (D. Smith) <.vas not going better than a 2.40 rate over two miles unhoppled. He is bright and thriving. Equipoise (S. M. August) took Nelson's Pearl (T. Carlyon) over two miles steadily and they sprinted the last few furlongs. August gave Sweet Aloes a run over two circuits and the grey mare shaped creditably. Kewpie's Queen Hangs On Kewpie's Triumph (K. Bell) left the two miles, to be picked up at the mile and a-half by Kewpie's Queen (W. Gee), the half-sister to Bedford (D. Smith) and Kewpie's Crest (J. Gee). Kewpie's Queen took the lead, carrying Kewpie's Triumph to the mile and a-half in 3.42, where the unnamed mare retired. Kewpie's Queen withstood a solid challenge from the others, to run 3.34. She did her work attractively. Kewpie's Triumph in 4.50 and displayed more dash than usual, as did Kewpie's Crest, who went 3.33. Gipsy Light (A." Cole), assisted by Charteris Bay (G. Cole), in saddle, for the last six furlongs, worked a mile and a-quarter in 3.5, the last three furlongs in 545. Gipsy Light carries an improved appearance. Frank Redmond (A. Paton), Shinina Link (L. J. Mahoney) and the sister to Lucky Love (W. Willetts) set out for a mile and a-half, but after going seven furlongs the last-named irotter broke into- a pace and was eased. Sliining Link retired at 10 furlongs. I rank Redmond completing the journey in 3.59 3-5. He trotted the last half in 1.16. Golden Surprise (S. M. August) trotted two miles steadily. Post Haste Doing Well

Floral Huon (J. Mahoney) and Pukemiro (W. Fleming) went from the mile and a-quarter three-seconds aheadPost Haste, but the last-named was leading at the six' furlongs-in 1.51. He was eased in the last'quarter, allowing Floral Huou to finish on terms in 3.5. Post Haste, who ran 3.2 very easily, has improved greatly in condition. Pukemiro, who was unhoppled, broke up at the end of a mile. After a slow beginning Tumble (1). Jones) ran a mile and a-quarter in 3.3. He went solidly once ho struck the straps and showed 2.23 for the last mile. Ho has a much improved appearance. Young Rodney (L. Layer) took Rere Oro (J. Simkin) to the mile in 2.25, where he faulted. He rejoined his companion at the turn and they finished together, in 3.35. For a novice, Here Oro gave a useful display. Don AValla (N. Cunningham) and Auto Bingen (G. H. Phipps) were together over a mile and a-quarter in 3.9 2-5. They ran the last quarter resolutely in 35 2-ss. Great Sonoma (C. M. Morrison) trotted the last mile of two miles in 2.30 registering an even gait. Gold Jiip. was allotted a similar task, the last mile in 2.35.
