MR. J. E. WARD RETIRES [by telegraph—own correspondent] TAURANGA, Wednesdsy After serving as postmaster at Tauranga for nine and a-half years, Mr. • J. E. Ward has retired on superannuation after nearly forty years' service. Mr. Ward joined tne Post and Telegraph Department at Goro, and; after being stationed in various towns, served as postmaster at Granity, Piopio, Clinton, Manaia and Tauranga. Mr. »• Kaucli is acting as postmaster at Tauranga until a permanent appointment is made.
