WIN FOR AUSTRALIA SIXTEEN RUBBERS TO FOUR [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] "WELLINGTON, "Wednesday The "New Zealand team's showing on the second night of tho badminton test against Australia was a vast improvement on that of the first, night. The score was 9 rubbers, to nil at the conclusion of the first night and the final score was 16 rubbers to 4. The results of to-night's games were (Australians first).: — * Singles.—Miss B. Cuthbertson lost to Mrs. C. F. Wren, 7—ll, 5—11; Miss I. Hewett beat Miss M. Edmondson, 2—ll, 11—4, 11—3; R. Harper beat J. Spedding, 15—8, 17—14; Miss E. Robert lost to Miss N. Fleming, 11 —5, I—ll, 7—11; B. G. Tonkin lost to R. W. Lewis, 15—8, 11—15, 17—18; T. Thompson lost to E. H. Roussell, 5—15, 15—11, 10-15.
Doubles. —Misses M. Horpburgh and B. Cuthbertson beat Miss M. Edmondson and Mrs. C. F. Wren, 18—14, 17 —16; C. Craske and T. Thompson beat P. Hawksworth and E. A.
