LABOUR'S RULE

REVIEW BY MINISTER A claim that the present Government had made available more money for tho Agricultural Department than any previous administration was made by the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, in addressing a meeting at Pukemiro on Monday night. Mr. W. Seddon, president of the Pukemiro branch of tho Labour Party, presided over about 100 x>eople. The Minister reviewed conditions in the community, comparing them with the state of affairs before the advent of the Labour Government. He thanked voters for their support at previous elections, and thanKed the audience for its generous financial support for the coming election. The meeting was also addressed by the electorate organisers. A motion of thanks to the speakers, and of com-, plete confidence in the Labour Government was carried without dissent.
