UNITED SERVICE
Sir, —May I be pflfmitted to reply to "Anglican" and others in reference to unity of the churches at Easter. It is without doubt that it is only in the last few years that united* services by the different nonconformist branches of the Church have started, and it is to be sincerely hoped that this movement will grow still greater. Why not make an attempt, say, next Easter, to have a combined service in one of the Anglican churches, where the Easter services have held pride of place for countless years. I can remember for very many years observing among the congregation in various Anglican churches throughout New Zealand at the Easter Communion many members of. the Eree Churches, including their ministers, and also many members of the Salvation Army, joining with their Anglican brethren in participating in that wonderful Communion. Let "Anglican" or "Churchman" attend the early Communion in one of their own churches, where they perhaps will realise that church union is not so very far off. W. Farrelly.
