DANCE AT HAMILTON
SUBURBAN TENNIS CLUBS PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Saturday The affiliated clubs of the Hamilton Suburban Lawn Tennis Association held a successful dance last night in the Masonic Hall, Claudelands. During the evening the trophies won during the season were presented by Mr. A. Watkins to the Fairfield and Rototuna Clubs.
The hall had been attractively decorated in the association's colours, blue and gold. The walls were arranged with badges of all the affiliated clubs emblazoned in gold, while overhead a canopy of blue and gold streamers interspersed with brightly coloured balloons added brightness to the scene. Bowls of zinnias in autumn tonings were arranged about the orchestral dais. The hostess, Mrs. R. W. Bennett, wore a gown of black self-spotted moire taffetas. Among those present were:—Mrs. G. F. Miss P. Johnson. Miss C. Martin, Miss N. Newell, Miss E. Casey, Miss A. Haycock (Cambridge), Miss E. Oldham, Miss J. Ross. Miss M. Green. Miss M. Wilkinson (Cambridge), Miss E. O'Neill, Miss J.
