John Wilkes and Genetout have been promijient fancies for the Sydney Cup. Highborn, Golden Chance and Troy ran unplaced in the second division of the Cabramatta Handicap, Kow Tow in the second division of the Farm Novice Handicap, and Beau Voire in the lirst division of the Fairfield Handicap. ALMA UNDER CLOUD LEG FILLS AFTER KICK [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] DUNEDIN, Saturday Alma, one of the most discussed horses for the Great Easter Handicap, has not been worked since winning at the Waimate meeting. She was kicked when at the post there aud, although the wound is only about an inch long, the leg has filled down to the fetlock joint. The filling is not very pronounced .and the mare walks quite soundly, but apparently the wound has become slightly septic.
