STOLEN GOODS
RECOVERY BY POLICE PROPERTY VALUED AT £IOOO SEARCH IN CHRISTCHURCH [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday Littered with stolen property, valued at £IOOO, two tooms at the Central Police Station bore all the appearances of a jumble sale this morning. The litter of articles was the result of a search by detectives of two house§ in the city yesterday. The goods were apparently mostly from drapery stores. Shirt-sleeved detectives were busy cataloguing the articles, which included blankets, towels, cutlery, men's and women's underwear, a lawnmower, waterproof overalls and a leather waistcoat.
Modern lampshades gave Chief-De-tective Dunlop's room an unusual appearance. Some of the cutlery was of very good quality.
