Seven races are to be run, with the Onewhero Steeples, of £350, over about 2£ miles, with 14 flights of various kinds of obstacles, as the chief event. The President's Handicap, of £3OO, over 1J miles, is the principal flat race. Nominations for all- events close on Friday, April 22, with Blomfield and Company, Auckland, at 5 p.m., or with the secretary, Mr. W. J. Short, Pukokohe, at 6 p.m.

G. W. New has taken in hand a yearling bay filly by Gascony from Talari, a sister to Princess Doreen. The filly has been well clone and is a racy type.

A pair of two-year-olds by Laughing Prince have joined L. G. Morris' team at Awapuni. One is a half-sister to and favours Cadland; the other is from the Psychology mare, Sigma.

Further yearlings from R. S. Bagby's stable to make tho'ir appearance on the track arc colts by Seigfried— Polonaise and Pink Coat ; —The Geisha, respectively. They were purchased at the January sales and both appear tractable youngsters.

Tangled, who will contest, the GreatWestern Steeples at River ton, left Awapuni yesterday, and on the southern trip from Christchurch he will be in charge of S. Barr. Tangled is reported to have done a great deal of work and a fair amount of schooling.

Llangollen, who was lame'after working at Ellerslie on Thursday, was an absentee from the track yesterday morning. She is suffering from a bruised foot, which will cause her to bo on the easy list for a couple of days at least. She lias liad her Easter Handicap engagement continued.
