ELLERSLIE CARNIVAL FIRST DAY ACCEPTANCES SIXTEEN IN CHIEF CONTEST FINAL- PAYMENTS ANNOUNCED For the first day of its autumn meeting, to bo held on April 1(3 and 18, the Auckland Pacing Club has received very good acceptances for all flat racing events, there being 16 left in the Easter Handicap, 13 in the President's Handicap, ,25 in the Eden Handicap and 18 in the Onslow Stakes. Fields of nine remain in the Brighton Hurdles and Mangere Steeples. Final payments were made for the Great Northern Oaks Stakes on behalf of seven fillies. The field of 10 in tho Champagne Stakes represents very high class and eight arc due to contest tho St. Leger Stakes on Easter Monday. Details:—
