FINED FOR ASSAULT
[by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHAKATANE, "Wednesday Charged with assaulting a taxidriver, I. Williams, at the Whakatane paper mills this morning a middle-aged Maori, William Wright, of Opotiki, appeared before Messrs. G. A. Brabant and W. F. Moody, ,T.P's, in the Whakatane Police Court. Accused , was fined £lO, in default two months' imprisonment.
