NEW MOTOR VESSEL

THE PORT SAINT JOHN CANADA-NEW ZEALAND TRADE [FIIOM OUR OWN correspondent] LONDON, Jan. 7 The Port Line's new motor-ship for the Eastern Canada-New Zealand-Aus-tralia trade, the Port Saint John, of 9800 tons gross, underwent successful trials between Middlesborough and Sunderland this week and left on January 5 on her maiden voyage to Canada and New Zealand. The Port Saint John is the last of three motorvessels built by the Port Lino for the service, but will bo the first to visit tho Dominion. The others are the Port Halifax and Port Montreal. The Port Saint John will load at Louisburg, St. John and Halifax for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Diinedin and New Plymouth, sailing from Halifax about January 27. She is duo at Auckland on March 1. Of the two vessels the New Zealand Shipping Company is supplying for the service, tho Kaikoura has already visited the Dominion. The Kaipara is nearing completion, and will run her trials on January 13. Later she will leave for St. John and Halifax to load for Australia.
