EXTRA EXPRESSES
RAILWAYS* BUSY PERIOD A particularly busy time is anticipated bv the Railway. Department at Auckland over the holiday. So great was the demand for accommodation on the limited express last night that a special express was despatched for We.3ington. Extra cars for Wellington also will be attached to the New Plymouth express to-morrow night, a special train leaving Taumarunui for "Wellington.
There will also be an additional express from Wellington to-night and it is expected to reach Auckland at 7.54 a.m. to-morrow.
Excursion trains in connection with the Hamilton regatta, the Takapuna Jockey Club's meeting at Ellerslie and two excursions to Rotorua for tourists from the Strathnaver will make conditions even busier to-day. A one-day excursion to Waitomo Caves has been arranged for to-morrow.
