BOWLING CARNIVAL
MATCHES IN SYDNEY NEW ZEALAND PLAYERS YESTERDAY'S RESULTS (Received January 28, 0.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, .Tan, 28 Tho bowling carnival was resumed today when two rounds of the singles which were interrupted by rain were played. Tho pairs and fours also were taken a further stage. Tho Now Zealanders aro finding the greens generally heavy, there being the minimum of draw duo to recent rain, humidity and growth of the grass. Bosuits in which New Zealanders are concerned are:—Singles Knock-out contests, first round: Hawking defeated Lafranchi (Victoria), 21—8; Griffiths defeated Gray (Victoria), 21—15; Livingstone defeated Ayrling (New South Wales), 21—12; Bremner lost to Trumble (Victoria), 16 —21. Second Bound. Hawking won, 22 —11; Griffiths lost to Kenny (South Australia), 20 —23; Livingstone defeated Harvey (South Africa), 21—13.
