PLEASED WITH NEPEAN RIVER (Received January 28, 0.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 28 Tho Now Zealand oarsmen had good work-outs to-day, Denison is suffering from slight stiffness and was replaced in the eight by Stowers. The crew showed plenty of power in their work. Smith sculled in a borrowed boat. Tho New Zealand crews M ill give an exhibition row to-morrow during tho New South Wales Stato championships on the Nepean River. All the members of the party are well. They are delighted with the river and with the accommodation. The Australian eight are still experimenting with the placing of the men in their boat. The Englishmen also are not quite satisfied with the placings and are trying men in different positions.
Tho Canadian four show a steady improvement and are working more smoothly and steadily.
