MOTHERS' CLUB
At a meeting of the Mothers' Club of the Young Women's Christian Association, Mrs. Lietz reported on the activities of the women's club council Recommendations from the recent committee meeting were discussed and final arrangements made for the "break-up" social and the mothers picnic in December. Three members were responsible for the afternoon's programme. "The Future of New Zealand was the subject of an address given by Mrs. Lietz. Other speakers were Mrs. J. Pocock. her subject being "The Japanese Boycott," and Mrs. W. Manson, whose subject was "The Ban on Smoking." Each subject was followed by discussion. Hostesses were Mrs. McGowan and Mrs. Sharp. The roll call was "A garden hint."
