OBITUARY
MRS. T. HENDERSON [from OCR own courf.spondf.nt! HAMILTON*, Wednesday A prominent former Waikato ladies' hoc-key representative, Mrs. Thomas Henderson,' has died in Hamilton. Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Old Girls' Hockey Club before her marriage and was also well known through her interest in golf. The funeral was attended by a party of Maoris from Xgongotaba. where Mrs. Henderson had lived recently, a Maori hymn being sung at the close of the service. Mrs. Henderson leaves her husband and a young daughter. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Young, are living at Tauranga. MRS. F. MACDONALD [from our own correspondent] HirXTLY, Wednesday The death has occurred of Mrs. Agnes Hume Macdcnald, wife of Mr. Frank Macdonald, a member of the Huntly Borough Council. Born at Trenton, Missouri, in 1379, she came to New Zealand in 1914 and after her arrival married Mr. Macdonald. She lived for & short time in Auckland and afterward at Rangiriri and Huntly. She was head teacher at the Rangiriri and Te Kauwhata schools for about 19 years, retiring about four .years ago. Prior to coming to New Zealand Mrs. Macdonald had been inspector of schools in Montana for several years. She is survived by her husband and four brothers and one sister, all of America. Ono brother, Mr. J. 11. Atkinson, who is blind, resides at Los Anceles. California. He founded the Universal Braille Press and is at present acting-manager.
