Tuesday A poll for tho election of a producers' representative on the New Zealand Fruit Export Control Board for the Hawke's Bay-Wellington provincial district resulted in the return of ill". D. S. McLeod, of Hastings, by a narrow majority of three votes. The sitting, member, 3\lr. A. M. Robertson, of Hastings, did not seek re-election. There were two candidates for the seat and the voting resulted: —Donald Sinclair McLeod, 80; Andrew Lawrence Baumgart (Hastings), 77; informal, 1.
