RETURN OF MR. SEMPLE
PASSENGERS BY WANGANELLA DUE WELLINGTON WEDNESDAY Instead of arriving by the Awatea from Sydney this morning, the Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Transport, will arrive at Wellington by the Wanganella on Wednesday morning, in conipany with Mr. F. W. Schramm, M.P. for Auckland East, and Mr.. E. J. Howard, M.P. for Christchurch South, who hare been to England. Cabled advice of the change of plan was received at Auckland on Saturday morning. Apparently the new arrangement, was made at the last minute. A press Association cablegram from Sydney states that in addition to the Parliamentary party, the passenger list includes the New Zealand farmers who have been touring the eastern States and some of the members of the New Zealand hockey team.

MR. SEMPLE IMPRESSED

Interviewed before his departure from Sydney, Mr. Semple said Australia had progressed enormously since his last visit. Australia, well governed, should become the principal bulwark of the Empire. He was impressed with its magnificent resources. If Australia had New Zealand's climate it would bo the most fertile country in the world.
