[by telegraph—OWN correspondent] DUNEDIN, Saturday

Giggleswiek was taken out of the Sea View Hurdles and Royal Pal was a better favourite than Sunward. Nighti Sail and Double Shot set the pace, but the latter jumped badly. Night Sail had established a good load at the far turn, and Toreador, who had been several lengths away, commenced to move up. Double Shot was beaten over three furlongs from home, where Royal Pal, Toreador and Sunward were closing on the loader. Royal Pal headed Night Sail at the last hurdle, where Sunward struck heavily. Toreador then challenged and, ridden out, won decisively from Royal Pal, who easily beat Night Sail. Double Shot was a poor fourth. Happy Morn Prevails Happy Morn and Bridget Brough wore about tho only two who began correctly in tho Brockvillo Trotting Handicap and they led along tho back from Seascape and Master Garry. Bridget Brough was beaten before reaching the straight and Happy Morn struggled on to just win, stopping to a walk, from Master Garry, who finished wide out. Tho extremely heavy going pulled up most of tho field in the Otago Hunt Cup. Money Mine wont out at tho first fence, and when tho field had gone about six furlongs, Scotsden headed Grey Hawk and retained tho lead to the finish, struggling home two lengths ahead of Jollvanna, who finished 100 yards in front of Glenmure. An End-to-end Win

Sylvie's Best, Violet Potts and Drumbunnif were struck out of the Wingatui Trotting Handicap. Bridget Brough led out and was never headed. She was very tired at tho finish, but was able to win by four lengths from Peter Wrack, who finished on the outside of tho track. Gay Avon was third and Parrish Chimes was next in a strungout field. The winner went out of favour owing to stopping at tho finish of hor first race.

Tho betting was well divided in the Hunters' Flat Handicap, but Tautau Maid proved the only one able to gallop at the finish. Pink Robe made the early running, but was headed when going to the far turn by Night Sail.. Tautau Maid then drew up and had the finish to herself. The others wero stopping to a walk and some did not even finish. The second favourite Dissemble won tho Vauxhall Handicap. Donadea, Gambler's Luck and Hanlon led llythia and a bunched field along the back. Dissemble and Donadea led round the homo turn from Hanlon, Gambler's Luck and llythia.
